Our approach to website design requires your involvement. The initial launch of your website or the launch of an upgraded and improved site is a very exciting time for any business owner. Before the development of your site begins, we ask you to consider the following:
What are your overall objectives? We already know you want your website to sell books. What else do you want to achieve through your website? A website sells a lot more than just merchandise. It sells you to the rest of the world. What impression do you want people to have of you when they look at your site? What do you want to say to them?
Think about a budget. You don't have to spend thousands of dollars in order to get a website that makes sense for your needs, but clearly there is an enormous difference between a website that costs $10,000 and a website that costs $1,000. Consider your company's budget, and then be realistic about your expectations.
Familiarize yourself with other websites. We'll ask you to provide us with links to aspiration websites. Simply put, aspiration websites are websites whose look-and-feel appeal to you. Aspiration sites can be from any industry. This provides our designers with a sense for the development style you like. Armed with this information, we are better able to create a site that appeals to your preferences.
Reserve some time for the project. Creating a website will demand a time investment by you. Keep in mind that this is your business. You will need to work with us with the development of much of the content for your new website. We understand that you will have questions either prior to, or during the development of your website. Please contact us today with any questions you may have.
